An area made famous by Gavin Maxwell who lived for a while at Sandaig, just south of Glenelg. Further south along the coast road lies the small village of Arnisdale at the entrance to Loch Hourn and at the foot of one of my favourite Munros, Beinn Sgritheall. Back at Glenelg are a couple of wonderful brochs and the last manually operated turntable ferry in the world which crosses Kyle Rhea over to Skye.
